I have been trying to create somewhat of a Montessori environment in the house for my son for the past few weeks. One of the things suggested was to have floor cushions to make their space which is mainly the floor, table legs etc… more comfortable, beautiful and pleasant. So I made a Pouffe (no not Snooki’s hairdo). I used my Amy Butler fabric and sewed it to canvas from scraps I had lying around from making my canvases for painting, in order to make it stiffer and stronger. I stuffed it with an old comforter that has been sitting in our linen closet taking up space for three or four years. It also works nicely as a foot rest for M. and I. As you can see today I matched the color of my socks but not the pattern, it adds visual interest. 🙂
