Cheese Biscuits

If you live in Saskatchewan you have been feeling that unmistakable chill in the air. The leaves are already turning color and falling. This turn of the weather is a sign of things to come, things we don’t want to think about right now. So my advice is to make these cheese biscuits with some nice chicken soup. It may sound like I am advocating emotional eating, and in this case I am. I think I am going to have another one of these right now with a cup of hot tea. Here is my recipe.

Preheat oven to 400F

cut 1 and 3/4 cup margarine into

6 cups flour

1 tsp salt

6 tsp baking powder

then add

1 cup grated cheese of choice (I like cheddar)

and add 3 cups milk to this

mix it up but not too much

you can top with a bit of grated cheese as well

and bake for 15-20 mins depending on your oven

While they are baking mix a couple tablespoons butter or margarine whichever you prefer, 2 or so tsp dill weed and a tsp or more of chopped garlic and melt together in the microwave or stove.

As soon as the biscuits are out spread this garlicky butter mix on top and enjoy!
